This is not merely an activity, but a deeply personal journey. Your experience begins with thoughtful preparation as you are dressed in traditional Balinese attire. Guided by a local priest (pemangku), you will travel to your chosen temple, a place of immense natural beauty and spiritual power.
Before entering the water, you will be shown how to present an offering (Canang Sari), a beautiful act of respect and gratitude. The priest will then lead you in prayer, helping you set your intention for the purification. One by one, you will enter the cool, flowing waters, allowing the holy tirta to wash over you, cleansing impurities and negative influences from your entire being. This symbolic act represents a letting go of the past and an embrace of a pure, new beginning.
The ceremony concludes with a final blessing from the priest, where you are sprinkled with holy water and given blessed rice (bija) to place on your forehead, sealing the purification and inviting divine grace into your life.
